1. Open Photofiltre (download for free here).
2. Open up the picture you would like to use.
3. Click on the rectangle in your toolbar. (middle/bottom right of screen)



4. Drag the rectangle across the page and it will look like the picture below. Most people put it towards the bottom of the page, but you can put it anywhere you'd like too.



5. Right click (on the rectangle) and click "stroke and fill". It'll look like the picture below. The picture also shows you what the bar will look like when it's done :)



6. Make sure the fill box is checked. Pick any color you'd like.
Alternative, you can pick a picture. To do so, you can check "fill pattern" and pick a picture.
7. Go down to the fade bar and make it less to fade, or you can keep it the same. Many people fade it to make it lighter, your choice though!

Extra
8. If you'd like a stroke around the box, like with text, you click on stroke and pick the color. And the higher you set the width, the bigger the line around the box will be.
